If you are a serious traveler, then you need some serious travel accessories. Some of  my favorite travel accessories are ones that have helped me organize my things better, made them more accessible, made me safer, or all of the above.  Whether in Marrakech's Djemaa el Fna or Hong Kong's Jade Market you will need to be able to carry cash safely. To do this without alerting the local media (thieves) is no small feat, so you will need some special gear, only available through a true travel gear store. 

On our "All Asia Pass" trip where we traveled in 9 countries for 27 days, Latest Information 2001/2002 All Asia Pass  I couldn't have done it comfortably without my special money belt.  It looks just like a regular belt that I wore over my clothes.  It is so well disguised that no one had any idea that I was carrying cash.  It also helped by conveniently allowing me to get the cash out quickly and easily, rather than having to cause a commotion by lifting up some piece of clothing to get at it.  When you are traveling for long periods of time, you may need to carry substantial amounts of cash depending on where you are headed.  What could you use?  Clothes that don't wrinkle, a jacket or vest with inside security pockets, bags that allow you to organize and carry everything you need without being bulky?  They all can be found by clicking on the links to your left.

Another one of my favorite travel items, is my little daypack. It is big enough to hold a 16 oz. bottle of water, mini umbrella, and even a few small parcels, but still small enough not to become heavy at the end of the day. Traveling with large pieces of luggage can be a real liability in many ways. The less mobile you are, the more vulnerable you are. To really travel light takes the right equipment.
