Switzerland is the most "user-friendly" country of all.  In large part due to their marvelous train system. Where the train doesn't take you, for a very nominal fee you can travel by postal buses which are quite luxurious. Here I am jumping on one of the specialty  trains that takes visitors and skiers up to one of the country's highest peaks.. Switzerland has it all. From its breath-taking scenery, to its old-world charm, fabulous food, wine and superbly clean and hospitable accommodations.

Get off at any train station, go to the accommodation board, call the hotel, pension or inn and check prices and availability right there.

Generally, your accommodations will only be a few minutes walk from the train station.  From the station you can rent a bike, buy souvenirs or catch a boat on one of the many beautiful lakes and waterways. Everything is so convenient.
English is spoken everywhere.
